Consider this a little of a back to basics post all about how to make Instant Pot white rice.
I have always been the person that overcooks, overflows, or undercooks stovetop white rice.
I even resorted to the microwaveable rice from Trader Joe’s or minute rice cups for some time in my blogging life.
It all tastes the same!
It does not cost the same though.
That is why I found it important to cook a big batch of my own white rice at home using my handy dandy Instant Pot. It really takes the guess work out of the rice timing.
White rice uses a one to one ratio, one cup of white rice to one cup of water.
Easy enough to remember, right?

Set the pressure to high for 3 minutes. Let the pot naturally pressure release until the screen reads 10 minutes.
Release the remaining pressure, remove the lid, and behold fluffy white rice every single time.
Cook up the rice ahead of time and use what you need or freeze the rest for later.
Add the white rice to a soup, serve alongside a Thai basil chicken, or these Korean-inspired meatballs.
I even make my pups rice this way when they have upset tummies.
Trust me, having basic Instant Pot white rice on hand at all times without guess work is a must!
