Roasted Green Beans with Bacon and Pecans

November 14, 2018

Roasted green beans with bacon and pecans are perfectly crunchy and salty. The addition of bacon and pecans really highlights the green bean flavor and snap perfectly.

Thanksgiving is seriously right around the corner. It’s like the Super Bowl for food bloggers. Well, the Super Bowl is also the Super Bowl for food bloggers. Think about all those app recipes!

This week I wanted to arm you guys with as many recipes and recipe ideas so that whether you are the head chef in charge of dinner or a guest heading to friend’s or family’s house, you can find something.

Last week we made Instant Pot brown butter mashed potatoes. Today we are making roasted green beans with bacon and pecans. I mean, who doesn’t love bacon? (Aside from vegans and vegetarians, obviously.)

If you are looking for a meat-free green bean option, I highly highly recommend my slow cooker Greek green beans. Set it and forget it. One less thing to worry about, right?

I love roasting green beans as a switch up from the usual green bean casserole. The beans have a slight snap to them still. The crispy bacon and pecans add so much extra flavor and crunch.

So, that’s two sides down.

I love baked brie for Thanksgiving. It can stand alone and feed a small crowd or be the centerpiece in a massive cheese board platter. I have another epic baked brie coming up on Friday.

After that I want to share some perfectly fluffy little dinner rolls and then a cocktail. If you can’t wait for the bread and booze, give these sweet potato dinner rolls and a big old glass of hard cider sangria.

An appetizer, a few sides, bread, and a drink. You are set.

Well, except for the turkey or ham or roast…you are on your own for that, my friends.
