Chorizo and Doritos Walking Tacos

The easiest way to serve a Super Bowl crowd. Crisp up some chorizo. Supply some shredded lettuce, avocado or guac, pico de gallo, and cheese. Have each person build their own walking taco! Only spend 20 minutes in the kitchen!

Ingredients

  • 1 Pound Ground Pork Chorizo
  • 10 Ounces Store Bought Pico de Gallo
  • 8 Ounces Queso Fresco
  • 1 Head of Green Leaf Lettuce or Romaine shredded
  • 12 Individual Bags of Doritos
  • Sour Cream
  • Avocado or Guacamole

Instructions

  1. Once ready to serve cook the chorizo over medium/high flame in a medium skillet. Use a wooden spoon to break apart the meat into small chunks. Cook until crisp and brown, 10 minutes.
  2. Place queso fresco on a small plate and use a fork to crumble the cheese.
  3. Open the bags of Doritos and crunch all the chips into tiny bits inside.
  4. Arrange the bags on a platter next to the cooked chorizo, shredded lettuce, pico, sour cream, and avocado. I recommend mixing the lettuce and chips together then topping with meat followed by whatever else you want.
