Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside for later.

In medium bowl, whisk the flour, salt, and baking soda together.

In the bowl of a stand mixer, fitted with the paddle attachment, cream the butter and sugars together until smooth. Mix in the egg and vanilla.

With the mixer on low, slowly add in the flour, and mix until just combined. Add mini chocolate chips.

Roll dough into tiny balls, each about 2 teaspoons of dough. Place on baking sheet and gently press down to slightly flatten each ball. Bake for 8 minutes and then let cool on baking sheet for 2 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
